President Tebboune presides over a cabinet meeting

Today, Monday, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.

According to the same statement, the meeting dealt with two draft laws, the first related to the military judiciary, and the second related to the prevention of corruption, the creation of a national agency, to manage frozen, seized and confiscated property, and presentations related to the supplementary program for the development of the state of Tissemsilt, the establishment of the National Agency for Water Desalination, and the follow-up of the implementation of the road map. To develop the national fleet, to transport goods by sea.

At the outset, the President of the Republic expressed his sincere thanks to the government for its contribution to the success of the Arab Summit that Algeria hosted, followed by the presentation of the agenda, and then the government’s activity for the last two weeks, by the Prime Minister, so that President Tebboune gave the following directives, instructions, and orders:

He instructed the government to prepare the implementation texts, which will allow raising wages, retirement grants, and unemployment grants, to start pouring financial increases, directly, after Parliament’s approval of the 2023 Finance Bill, starting next January. 

:     Regarding the draft military justice law

President Tebboune directed to enrich the draft law, stressing the need to take into account the specificity of the tasks it includes, and the secrecy they require, within the framework of protecting the supreme interests of the state.

Restricting any statement made to the media in cases related to matters of national defense and of interest to public opinion, with a license from the Minister of National Defense.
